Getting started with MRFi Nutrition

A concise guide to the 14-day no-card trial and the core self-monitoring workflow.

First steps

If you are new, begin with Learn for the concepts, then use Energy for an approximate starting range. After that, use Weight, Intake Log, Photo, Diary, and Awareness together to notice patterns over time.

1Learn

Start with the education overview.

2Estimate

Save an approximate energy range.

3Track

Add only the logs that help you notice patterns.

Getting Started

The MRFi Nutrition & Self-Monitoring App is for practical nutrition education, awareness, estimates, short food logs, photo-supported review, body-weight trends, and user-owned self-monitoring.

Start with Learn if you want the concepts first. Start with Energy if you want an approximate calorie and nutrient starting point. Use Diary when you want to reflect on goals, barriers, wins, and progress.

Your 14-Day Free Trial

Your free trial lasts 14 days and does not require a credit card.

During the trial, you can use the app sections, save local entries, and explore the workflow before subscribing.

Home

Home gives you a snapshot of saved estimates, recent logs, optional 4-Day Log progress, photo review activity, and body-weight trends.

Use it as a quick check-in after you have saved a few entries.

Learn

Learn explains the nutrition concepts behind the app in plain language.

Use it when you want context before changing intake, interpreting estimates, or reviewing patterns.

Energy

Energy estimates starting calorie and nutrient needs from your body size, goal, and activity context.

Treat the numbers as approximate planning ranges, then compare them with body-weight trends, intake consistency, hunger, energy, and adherence over time.

Weight

Weight helps you track body-weight trends instead of judging one isolated day.

Use several entries over time to see whether the general direction matches your goals and habits.

Intake Log

Intake Log is for regular food tracking and daily totals.

Use it for meals, snacks, and notes you want to review later. It does not need to be perfect to be useful.

Photo

Photo can create an approximate food-awareness draft from meal photos.

Review and edit every estimate before adding it to the Intake Log because photos can miss portions, oils, sauces, drinks, shared plates, and hidden ingredients.

Diary

Diary is for daily notes, weekly reflections, monthly reflections, general notes, goal notes, barriers or challenges, and wins or successes.

Use show/hide controls, search, and filters to keep notes useful without cluttering the page.

Motivation feedback is rules-based and supportive. It can use goals, intake logging, body-weight trends, protein, fiber, and water targets when available, and consistency patterns.

Awareness

Awareness is for reflection on hunger, energy, barriers, habits, and patterns.

Use it when you want to understand what made a day easier or harder instead of only looking at numbers.

Optional 4-Day Log

The optional 4-Day Log is a short structured intake review.

Use it when you want a selected multi-day snapshot without turning every day into a long-term tracking requirement.

How the Sections Work Together

Learn gives context, Energy gives an approximate starting point, Weight shows trend feedback, Intake Log records daily intake, Photo supports approximate food awareness, Diary helps you reflect on patterns, barriers, wins, and progress, and Awareness captures the habits and context behind the numbers.

Motivation gives simple supportive feedback from saved patterns. It is not medical advice.

The optional 4-Day Log pulls a short structured window together when you want a more focused review.

After the Trial

After the 14-day trial ends, a subscription is required to continue using the app.

You can subscribe from Account/Billing when you are ready to continue.
